There Is an Indian Dish for Every Mood

The bold, robust flavors of the Indian cuisine have made it reach global fame and how! You can order an Indian dish for every occasion from Indian Restaurant in Cambridge, MA. Here are the must have dishes for each of those occasions.

  1. Drinks with Friends

You will refrain from touching your peanuts, pretzel or cheese to snack on while downing your drinks on a weekend with friends. Indian snacks are a heavenly combination to go with your vodka, rum, beer or whiskey. Tandoori chicken is all about smoky, spicy flavors oozing from the tender, juicy pieces of chicken. Tandoori chicken is one of the classic Indian snacks every Indian enjoys with their rum or whiskey mostly. If you love chicken, then your options don’t just end with tandoori chicken, you can also relish chicken tikkas and kababs with your drinks. However, if you are more into fish than chicken then you must try fish tikka or tandoori jhinga which is usually salmon or jumbo shrimps marinated and baked in the traditional tandoor. Do not fret if you are a vegetarian as you can order vegetables grilled in the tandoor.

  1. Evening snack

If you want to munch on something in the evening which is crunchy, tangy and spicy then chaat is the way to go. Chaat is like a salad only a lot yummier and spicier. It is often topped off with fried wheat wafers to add crunch and texture to the dish. If you are a vegetarian then the infamous aloo chat or aloo tikka chaat is your savior. You can also go for chicken chaat if you love meat. If you are not in the mood for chaat, then you can order some hot samosas. Samosas are baked or fried dish which is made by folding simple flour dough in a unique triangular shape with a savory filling made out of potatoes or meat stuffed inside it. It is often served with delicious green chutney made with mind, chilies and coriander or with tangy tamarind chutney.

  1. For a fancy breakfast

We often get tired of our usual pancakes or bread and jam breakfast. Indian breads can bring a refreshing change to your boring everyday breakfast with its variety of breads. Paranthas are a type of savory flat bread which is pan fried like a pancake. It is often stuffed with fillings made of potatoes, cabbage, cottage cheese, etc. to make it taste even better. They are quite filling and delicious which makes them perfect for breakfast. Aloo parantha is one of the breads you must try which is often served with yogurt or a tangy pickle. Chole bhature is another famous Indian breakfast dish which is made by deep frying rolled out dough. The end bread is an air filled big bubble of dough which is served along with spicy and delicious thick gravy made with chickpeas which is known as chole in India.

Boston finally has a great Indian restaurant. Excellent food, attentive service, modern decor. This will be my go-to Indian restaurant in the future. The restaurant is unfortunately located right in between Harvard and Porter Squares, which means a good bit of walking from a subway station and parking is challenging in Cambridge in general.

Great Indian food, friendly staff and a great value. Their lunch buffet is maybe the best value in the neighborhood. I sampled a lot of different dishes at the buffet, both veggie and meat based, and they were all great. I'd definitely recommend this spot for Indian food, especially for their lunch buffet.

Delicious food with super kind and attentive service. The ambiance is a lovely- somehow it feels cozy even with clean lines and modern decor. Will be returning soon.
